Roger S. Burdick (born June 23, 1947) is a justice of the Idaho Supreme Court. A member of the court since 2003, he was the chief justice from 2011 to 2015.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Supreme Court Justices )〕 Born in Boulder, Colorado, Burdick lived in various locations in the U.S. as a youth. He graduated from Boise High School in Idaho in 1965〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=Boise High Class of 1965 )〕 and the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1970, earning a bachelor's degree in finance.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=Boise High Class of 1965 )〕 After a year as a bank examiner for the state of Idaho, Burdick attended the University of Idaho in Moscow and received his J.D. from its College of Law in 1974. Appointed to the Idaho Supreme Court by the Governor Dirk Kempthorne in 2003, he retained his seat in statewide elections in 2004 (unopposed) and 2010. Elected chief justice by his fellow justices in 2011, he did not seek a second term in 2015 and was succeeded by Jim Jones in August. ==References==
